1. About Screen Roster
Screen Roster is an online professional network and production workspace for people and organisations working in film, television, digital media, advertising, theatre, audio and related screen industries. Screen Roster operates from Victoria, Australia.
Contact: team@screenroster.com.
2. Who may use Screen Roster
You must be at least 18 years old to create or control a Screen Roster account. A parent or legal guardian may manage activity on behalf of a person under 18 where Screen Roster permits that use.
3. Accounts and identity
You must provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure and not impersonate another person or organisation. You must not falsely claim professional credits, company affiliations or authority to offer work.
Screen Roster may use email verification, company approval, content moderation and other reasonable checks. Approval or verification is not a guarantee that a user, company, job, production or opportunity is genuine, safe or financially reliable.
4. Screen Roster is a platform, not the employer
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Screen Roster is not the employer, producer, casting director, talent agent, labour hire provider, payroll provider or contracting party for opportunities arranged through the Services.
Any audition, employment, engagement, collaboration, payment, release, production agreement or other arrangement between users is between those users.
5. Production Companies and team workspaces
Company administrators control access to their workspace and are responsible for limiting access to authorised staff. Company members may receive resumes, applications, self-tapes, contact details, casting information, Availability Check responses and internal production information.
6. Jobs, castings and opportunities
Listings must be genuine, accurate and lawful. Users posting jobs, castings or roles are responsible for complying with applicable employment, workplace, discrimination, child employment, safety, award, union, immigration, tax and other laws.
Screen Roster may review, suspend, hide or remove listings and request further verification.
7. Resumes, CVs, headshots and self-tapes
You must have the rights required to upload any resume, CV, photograph, headshot, showreel, self-tape, script side, video, artwork or other material you submit.
Production Companies may use submitted materials for legitimate casting, recruitment, scheduling, hiring and production administration. Private submissions must not be sold, published or used for unrelated purposes without permission.
8. Messaging, invitations and Availability Checks
You must not use Screen Roster to send spam, harassment, threats, scams, repeated unwanted contact or deceptive messages. Availability responses are supplied by users and may change.
9. User content and licence to Screen Roster
You retain ownership of your content. You grant Screen Roster a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, resize, transcode, technically modify, display, communicate and distribute your content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure and provide the Services.
For content you intentionally make public, this licence also allows Screen Roster to display, index and promote that public content within Screen Roster and in ordinary promotion of the platform. Private self-tapes, private messages and private CVs are not licensed for unrelated advertising.
10. Rights in uploaded material
You must not upload content that infringes copyright, trade marks, privacy, confidentiality, publicity, moral rights or other rights. If you upload poster or project artwork, you confirm you have permission to use it.
Providing an IMDb link does not give Screen Roster or a user rights to copy imagery from IMDb.
11. Public and private information
Information you designate as public may be visible to the public and search engines. Member email addresses and private application materials are not public unless a feature is specifically designed to provide them to an authorised recipient.
12. Prohibited conduct
- unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or discriminatory conduct;
- fake castings, deceptive recruitment, scams or exploitative opportunities;
- harassment, stalking, threats or repeated unwanted contact;
- scraping or harvesting user data at scale without permission;
- malware, security attacks or attempts to evade access controls;
- publishing confidential production information without authority.
13. Safety and moderation
Screen Roster may investigate reports, moderate content, restrict features, suspend accounts or remove content where reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, security or enforcement of these Terms.
14. Third-party services
Screen Roster may link to or embed third-party services such as file hosting, maps, calendars, social platforms, IMDb and Amazon. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
15. Calculators and production tools
Tools such as the Storage Calculator and availability analysis are provided for planning assistance only. Users should verify important technical, legal, safety and financial decisions independently.
Product recommendations may include affiliate links. Screen Roster does not guarantee compatibility, price, availability or suitability.
16. Fees and paid features
Some features may be free and others may become paid. Any applicable price and payment terms will be shown before purchase. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
17. Intellectual property
Screen Roster and its licensors own the platform software, branding, interface, original text and databases, excluding user content and third-party material.
18. Service availability
We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features for maintenance, security, legal compliance or product development.
19. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or restrict accounts that materially breach these Terms, present a safety or fraud risk, repeatedly infringe rights or misuse the Services.
20. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Screen Roster does not guarantee the identity, conduct, solvency, qualifications or reliability of users, the accuracy of user-posted information, the availability of work or the outcome of any engagement.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), including the Australian Consumer Law.
21. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you indemnify Screen Roster against third-party claims arising directly from your unlawful content, infringement of another person’s rights or material breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by Screen Roster’s own wrongful conduct.
22. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
23. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified where reasonably appropriate.
24. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia and applicable Commonwealth laws.
